About me
We all make sense of ourselves and our experiences in different ways. Some of those ways are life-giving and helpful. Others are not.
I am interested in accompanying people as they look at their ways of understanding their experience more carefully. Much of my work has taken place in spaces where people's experiences have been reduced, forced into explanations that don't quite fit, and consequently misunderstood. Even in these places, new ways of seeing and understanding our experience can begin to emerge.
My work often involves paying close attention to overlooked parts of a person's life. This means exploring connections within a person’s context and history, challenging assumptions, and considering possibilities that may have gone unnoticed. Drawing on both a broad range of life experiences and professional training, I bring care, curiosity, and skill to this process.
Nobody can predict exactly what will happen in therapy. Yet one thing seems to occur again and again: when we create a space that is secure, open, attentive and tuned in, a new story begins to emerge.
In a new light, things can look different.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
At Emerald Skies we believe access to tailored, professional psychotherapy should not depend solely on income. That is why for individual therapy sessions, Emerald Skies includes standard-fee, reduced-fee and flexible-fee spaces as a built-in part of how it operates.
- £80 Standard fee (12 spaces)
- £50 Reduced fee for Students (7 Spaces)
- £0-50 Flexible fee (5 Spaces)
Flexible-fee spaces are available for people for whom the standard and reduced fees are not sustainable. Contributions are agreed according to individual circumstances.
If you desire to be in a certain category and all spaces are taken, it is possible to be registered on a waiting list.
These sessions last for 50 minutes each.
Further information
At Emerald Skies we specialise in making a positive difference to how people experience being in the world, whatever their circumstances. We believe in the power of psychotherapy to make a lasting difference.
Time and again, we have been privileged to witness individuals discover new ways of relating to themselves, their lives, and their relationships, ways that feel life-giving rather than life-draining. The ripple effect of this can be profound.
