About me
The results of counselling are freeing and empowering but the process can be emotionally challenging. If you're looking for someone calm, trustworthy, non-judgemental and honest who really wants to help you be better, then reach out.
My role is to actively & empathically listen to you, putting myself in your frame of reference to see the world as you are seeing it. In understanding life from your perspective I may pick up on patterns that you may not have noticed or identify experiences that you may not realise have shaped your feelings and subsequent thought processes.
Talking through your experiences and describing your feelings is not always easy. It can be upsetting to revisit things, but I bring a safe, calm and totally non-judgemental space to do that at your own pace.
If you've been coping with, or trying to fight feelings of anxiety, depression, loss, stress, grief, anger, not feeling 'enough' or 'too much', on your own then you know how exhausting it is.
You no longer have to carry those feelings alone. Let's do this together; I will support & empower you through listening, without giving advice or solutions, in finding your best way forward into a future that's brighter than the present .

TESTIMONIALS:
(Feb 2025)
Thanks to Joanna I’m feeling like my old self again. It was such a wonderful experience and from the first moment we spoke, I knew I’d made the right decision. She is so empathic, compassionate and warm, with a wonderful ability to gently offer a different perspective. Joanna created a space that always felt safe enough to cry in, which I did in most sessions and allowed me to grow in unexpected ways. I 100% recommend Joanna to anyone who needs someone to listen to them, help them through a tough patch, figure things out and help them to be the best possible them they can be! Thank you Joanna for all your help.

All I can say is that Joanna offers a calm space away from the pace of life , an opportunity to talk openly knowing that it will go no further than the space you are in. You will feel safe in the surroundings, Joanna makes you feel at ease enough for you to talk , listens to you & is never judgemental. I always came away feeling better than I arrived , I would not hesitate in recommending Joanna she's brilliant.
