About me
I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever may be troubling you, including anxiety, trauma, life challenges, and the emotional impact of living with chronic pain.
My integrative approach allows me to tailor counselling to each individual’s needs, providing a safe and confidential environment. I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and see whether counselling feels right for you. If you are considering counselling but feel unsure about taking the first step, you are very welcome to get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Level 6 qualified Integrative Counsellor, working with clients experiencing a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement and loss, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
I have particular experience supporting people who have experienced trauma and those living with the emotional impact of chronic or long-term pain.
Previously, I worked for three years with an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), providing confidential counselling to adults experiencing workplace stress, career challenges, and personal difficulties. This experience has given me broad insight into the pressures people face in both work and personal life.
I have worked with adults in both face-to-face and telephone counselling settings and am committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice to ensure my work is compassionate, effective, and ethical.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I believe that being truly heard and understood can be a powerful part of healing and personal growth. My approach to counselling is warm, compassionate and non-judgemental, and I aim to create a space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences openly.
Life can sometimes bring challenges that feel overwhelming, and it can be difficult to carry these alone. Counselling offers an opportunity to pause, reflect and begin to make sense of what you may be experiencing. I work alongside you at your own pace, supporting you to gain greater understanding, resilience and self-awareness.
Alongside supporting people with issues such as anxiety, depression, bereavement and life transitions, I also have experience working with trauma and the emotional impact of chronic pain, and I understand how these experiences can affect both emotional wellbeing and day-to-day life.
I understand that choosing a counsellor is a very personal decision, and it is important that you feel comfortable and supported in the process.
