About me
Hello, I’m Jess, an accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor based in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
I offer a warm, compassionate and supportive space where you can feel safe to talk openly about whatever may be going on for you, without fear of judgement.
Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted or disconnected from ourselves and others. You may be struggling with anxiety, stress, trauma, burnout, low mood, self-esteem difficulties, relationship challenges or past experiences that continue to affect you day-to-day. Therapy can provide a space to pause, reflect and begin understanding yourself more deeply.
I work primarily as a psychotherapeutic counsellor, offering a collaborative and individualised approach tailored to you and your experiences. I believe therapy should feel supportive, safe and paced around your needs rather than rushed or overwhelming.
Alongside counselling, I also offer hypnotherapy and Rewind Trauma Therapy as separate services within my practice for clients who are specifically looking for those approaches.
I have over 15 years of experience working within the mental health sector with both adults and children and have additional training in trauma and PTSD, including the Rewind Technique (Dr David Muss protocol).
Areas I commonly work with include:
- Anxiety and panic
- Trauma and PTSD
- Stress and burnout
- Confidence and self-esteem
- Sleep difficulties
- Phobias
- Emotional overwhelm
- Relationship difficulties
My aim is to help you feel genuinely heard and supported while we work together to better understand what may be contributing to your difficulties and find ways to move forward that feel realistic and manageable for you.
I offer both online and face-to-face sessions from my practice in Shepton Mallet.
I understand how important it is to find the right therapist, which is why I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation before booking. This gives us the opportunity to talk through what you are looking for and whether we feel like the right fit.
If you have any questions, or would like to arrange an initial chat, please feel free to get in touch.
