About me

Hi, I’m Jess.

I work from Deal and Hythe in Kent. I have several years of experience working therapeutically with teenagers and adults. My approach brings together both counselling and coaching, as I believe that when we’re vulnerable, we often need more than understanding alone; we also need practical support in building new goals, personal growth, and transformation, so we can enjoy life and create hope for the future.

As a qualified integrative counsellor and coach, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches rather than relying on just one. This allows me to work flexibly and tailor sessions to your unique needs. I offer face to face and online therapy, always aiming to create a space that feels warm, friendly, relaxed, and collaborative.

Whether you’re feeling low, overwhelmed by life, or seeking meaningful change, I’d be glad to hear from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am trained as an integrative counsellor,  coach and mentor. I incorporate various approaches to therapy including, Cognative Behavioural Therapy, Transacional Analysis, Person Centred Approach, Psychodynamic Theory, Solution Focused Theory, Gestalt... This integration of approaches enables me to work with clients in an adaptable way most suitable to their needs.

I have experience of working in counselling centres, Pilgrims Hospice and drop-in centres as well as holding pastoral roles. I have encountered people from all walks of life who, for whatever reason, are struggling with trauma, anxiety, a past hurt, grief, difficult family relationships, a transiton of some kind or some form of pain in their life. I consider it a privilege to share these journeys and to be invited into the midst of vulnerabilty. Together we can make sense of what you are feeling and experiencing, and work towards healing and peace.

My Approach

I aim to build a relaxed, safe and calm environment to work in, whether face to face or online. By working together we can explore life's challenges. I use talking therapy, worksheets and creativity as methods to explore and uncover what is going on for my clients either conciously or unconciously.
