About me

Hi and Welcome,

Hi my name is Jenni, I am a Qualified and fully insured Person Centred Counsellor and CBT Counsellor.  I utilise both modalities and work integratively, with clients. I tailor my counselling sessions, to meet your unique needs. Person Centred, is a fantastic model of counselling, it allows you to reflect on your feelings and behaviours and encourages greater Self awareness. However, if you are wanting to make changes and gain specific coping techniques, to help you deal with your problems or issues in a more positive or healthier way, CBT therapy is excellent.  I currently work with adults via, Microsoft Teams, telephone and face to face at a therapy room in Prestwich Village. For any questions, please contact me on 07958 353 694 or Email me at amenitycounselling@outlook.com and we can arrange your FREE online or 20 minute telephone consultation.

I am a warm, empathic, non-judgemental and approachable Counsellor. I offer a safe space, for you to talk about and process any difficulties or issues you are facing. I love my job and I am passionate about assisting and supporting my clients, through their difficulties. I can offer you a different perspective, on your situation, which often helps, if you are feeling stuck, or if you are in a challenging situation. It can help lessen your stress and anxiety. My aim is when working with you, is to help you to manage and cope with your current difficulties better, to help empower you and help you work towards a healthier mindset and a happier You. I run my private practice and I also work for a Mental Health Charity, Counselling vulnerable adults. I am experienced in working with people with Anxiety, Depression, Low Mood, Low Confidence, Low Self Esteem Stress, Grief, Loss and Relationship issues.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
