About me

Hi and Welcome,

My name is Jenni and I am a Qualified Person Centred Counsellor and CBT Counsellor.  And I utilise both modalities and work integratively, with my clients. I tailor my counselling sessions, to meet your own individual requirements. Person Centred, is a fantastic model of counselling, that allows you to gain self awareness, by allowing you to reflect on your feelings and behaviours. However, if you are wanting specific coping techniques, to help you deal with your problems in a more positive way, or you want to address any inaccurate, or negative thinking, CBT therapy is excellent.  I currently work with adults via, Microsoft Teams, telephone and face to face at a therapy room in Prestwich Village. For any questions, please contact me on 07958 353 694 or Email me at amenitycounselling@outlook.com and we can arrange your FREE online or 20 minute telephone consultation.

I am a warm, empathic and non-judgemental Counsellor.  I care passionately about being a Counsellor. I can offer you a safe space, for you to talk about and process any problems or issues you are facing. I am very understanding and approachable. I can offer you support, increased self awareness and if you are feeling stuck or in a challenging situation, I can offer you a different perspective on your situation, in order to help lessen or alleviate your stress and anxiety . My goal, as a therapist is to  help you become a happier and healthier you.  My aim is when working with you, my aim is to help you to cope better with your current difficulties, to empower you and help you work towards gaining a healthier mindset. I run my own private practice and I also work for a Mental Health Charity, Counselling vulnerable adults. I am experienced in working with people with Anxiety, Depression, Low Mood, Low Confidence, Low Self Esteem Stress, Grief, Loss and Relationship issues.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
