About me

*I'm currently full and my waiting list is also full, so I'm not able to add anyone else onto it at the moment.*

Hey, I’m Jasmine. I’m a therapist offering warm, inclusive counselling for adults in Manchester and online.

If you’re looking to talk about anxiety, identity, neurodivergence, trauma or life’s big questions, I’m here for you. I offer a calm, non-judgemental, safe and welcoming space where we can explore what’s going on at your pace.

I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ people and women exploring trauma, identity, difference and belonging. I also welcome people from all backgrounds and have experience supporting people through a wide range of difficult life experiences.

You might want to talk about:

  • Anxiety or feeling overwhelmed
  • Childhood trauma
  • Gender, sexuality and relationship diversity (I’m LGBQTIA+ affirmative)
  • Neurodivergence (including ADHD, autism, late diagnosed or self-diagnosed)
  • Race, racism and colourism
  • Culture and belonging
  • Non-consent and sexual violence
  • Discrimination and oppression
  • Activism, social justice and burnout
  • Social class identity and class mobility
  • Life transitions
  • Life’s big questions (including purpose, capitalism and systems of power

I have a background in equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI), and this shapes everything I do. My practice is anti-oppressive and affirming. I’m aware of the power dynamics that can exist in therapy, and I welcome conversations about these experiences.

Therapy with me is a space where you’ll be seen, heard and supported. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on for you so you’re less alone in what you’re facing. We’ll go at your pace, and I’ll bring warmth, curiosity and gentle challenge where it’s helpful.

I’m an integrative therapist, which means I tailor my approach to you. I mostly work from humanistic, existential and attachment-based perspectives. I always work in a person-centred way, which is rooted in empathy, trust and connection.

Whether you want space to talk or to dig deeper, we can start wherever you’re comfortable. Therapy can help provide a sense of calmness, clarity and connection to yourself and others. My hope is that you’ll leave therapy feeling more understood, valued, reassured and empowered.

If you’re feeling anxious or unsure about starting therapy, you’re not alone. I understand how scary it can feel, and it’s okay to be nervous. You deserve support that feels safe and right for you. If it feels like I could be the right fit, I offer a free 15-minute Zoom call so you can ask questions and see how it feels to talk together. If you’d like to book a call or ask any questions, get in touch: jasmine.counselling@proton.me

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
