About me

There are lots of reasons why people want to get counselling. It could be anxiety, depression, relationship issues, a combination of all three or perhaps something else. If your interested to get help in any of these areas then i might be able to help you.

What do you need to do?

First step

View the short video i have made. Please follow the link at the bottom of the page. It will take you to a video published on youtube. or visit my website.

Second step:

You could email me or talk to me over the phone (no cost) so i can answer any questions and address any concerns. You might be curious as how counselling can help your anxiety or your Depression or not sure how our sessions could help with your relationship issue. I can answer these as best i can for you.

Its completely natural to be unsure about counselling or choosing me as your counsellor so this phone chat is a great opportunity for you to find out if you feel ok about starting counselling or if you would like  try a different counsellor or a different type of help.

The Third step if your comfortable to is to book a session. This will be an opportunity, to discuss what you hope to get from counselling , and how many sessions you would like to book. As a general guide i would suggest a block of six sessions with a review at the end of 6 for us to asses where we are. Longer commitments are also possible for example over 20+ sessions.

The counselling itself.

You have a chance to talk and I have a chance to listen. You can talk as much or as little as you like and you can decide what we do and what we do not talk about. My intention is that together we can create an environment where you will feel safe enough to do speak about what you need to speak about.

A little more about me.

I am an Integrative counsellor who has specialised in using mindfulness based approaches, both individually and in groups to support those suffering from depression and anxiety.

I offer individual counselling. Its very difficult to give a general description of what takes place in counselling as each client counsellor relationship is different. However I hope to provide you with a kind supportive space, where you will feel respected and valued as a person. I also hope that you will feel comfortable to talk with me about what troubles you and that i can provide an opportunity for you to be truly listened to and understood.

As an Integrative counsellor I work using a variety of counselling methods and what that means for you is that hopefully together we can establish a tailor made way of working that helps you.

MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
