About me
Hello. I’m James; a warm and dedicated psychotherapeutic counsellor working with individuals and couples.
I am committed to accompanying people through times of psychological struggle and distress, helping them develop greater awareness, resilience, and deeper connections with themselves and those around them.
You may be coming to therapy because of a particular issue; possibly a relationship, work problems or something that has happened. Perhaps you have a general feeling that things aren’t right, that you are unsure of who you are, or that you are struggling to know how to ‘be’ with yourself and others.
These challenges can sometimes leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed and despairing, cut off from the world and ourselves.
Trained in Transactional Analysis, I work from a humanistic perspective; grounded in the belief that we all have an innate capacity for health, growth, and change. I work relationally, meaning we can use our therapeutic relationship as a resource for insight and exploration.
I work in a neuro-affirmative way; I am welcoming of neurodivergent minds and respectful of difference.
I offer sessions from my private therapy room in the village of King's Sutton (OX17) as well as working online.
If you would like to explore working together, please get in touch to arrange a free, 20 minute introductory session.
