About me

Hello and welcome to my profile.

I know how it can feel daunting and actually a bit scary coming into therapy and looking through these profiles can feel, where do I start! So here is a good place to start and I a glad we found each other.  I have detailed below a bit more about me and what I can offer you, if you think we could be a great fit working together and you would like to know more and meet, press the BOOK AN APPT button at the top of this page and I look forward to hearing from you.

Having the right fit and connection with your therapist is everything so you feel understood and safe to explore the issues that find you on my profile. I am experienced in working in different modalities which means I can offer you therapy to suit your needs - what fits and works for you. This is important right!  I fully understand what it is like finding a therapist and we can have sort of emotions happening and therefore I can offer you a warm hearted, non-judgemental space to be yourself and feel safe. I am also neurodivergent so can support you whether you are diagnosed or self-diagnosed.

Whether you are looking for talking therapies, somatic body work, inner child work, anxiety and trauma-focused stablization interventions including sexual abuse and assault, substance misuse harm reduction, abandonment, depression, confidence and esteem work I can be beside you whilst we go through this work together.

The start of our counselling relationship together begins here. Get in touch for a free 30 minute introductory session to see how we fit to work together. I offer weekly evening slots that you can click on today via the BOOK AN APPT button at the top of this page. Please contact me directly if you require a different day and time.

Working together at a pace to suit you on your issues, a new you can emerge. Counselling allows you to explore how you are feeling in a safe, confidential environment to be the real you without feeling judged, pressured or criticised.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor, offering a humanistic psychotherapeutic approach, specialising in person-centred and transactional analysis psychotherapy. I work with individuals, couples, groups and individual and group supervision. Often, couples have lost their way in listening and being intimate towards each other following experiencing some difficult times in their relationship. We can work together to explore this and for you to be how you wish to be together or maybe apart.  This could be working through listening, anger, talking to each other, stress, betrayal, anxiety, neurodivergence, intimacy, cultural differences, separation, divorce, identity, family issues and parenthood, bereavement, peri-menopause, clinical menopause, health issues, disability and loss of employment. The start of our counselling relationship together begins here. I offer two weekly evening slots that you can click on today via the BOOK AN APPT button at the top of this page. Please contact me directly if you require a different day and time.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
