About me
Therapy can be life changing. It functions on the investment of trust in the relationship between us. We call this the 'therapeutic alliance' in the therapy world. It's an experience of trust that becomes the bedrock that change is built on. It's a process of care, which offers an ongoing support, versus a cure, which can sometimes miss the person experiencing suffering.
Some of the most common issues I work with are anxiety, depression, relationship issues (past or current), anger, guilt, shame, trauma, addiction, and suicidal thoughts.
Pain, joy, uncertainty and everything in between are often part of the process of therapy. I endeavour to engage you with my heart, humility and humour. I am ready and willing to meet you in the difficulty of facing the root of your troubles.
Not sure how this all might work? As a relational integrative therapist I draw on a number of therapeutic interventions and models of therapy to best help you understand yourself and your issues:
Relational & Psychodynamic: Exploring how early relationships and unconscious patterns influence your life today.
Embodied: Tuning into the body's wisdom, as emotions and experiences have a physical basis.
Humanistic: Honouring the unique person-to-person relationship we build in therapy.
I aim to adapt our sessions to your needs, validating your experience. Do you need to be given more space for things to surface? Or could a thoughtful question or challenge help you to get in touch with what's happening? I will check in with you and invite you to be curious about our sessions as we work.
Making each session of value to you is important to me. I balance this with my awareness and skill to tune into your own pace.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
