About me
I am a relational integrative psychotherapist based in Margate. I have an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute where I trained for five years. I have full registration with the BACP and accreditation with the UKCP.
As my practice is relational I am concerned with your relationships with others and how you feel in our relationship.
I will work with you to explore your experiences of anxiety, stuck-ness or pain. I can help explore links and connections across your life to support you with issues you are facing now. I can support you with feelings of disconnection from others, yourself and the world.
The first few sessions will be a chance for you to talk, be heard and see if you would like to work together. I can offer an initial 15 phone or zoom conversation to see how you feel about working with me.
Generally, I do not work with directive approaches to therapy, as I focus on understanding your existence as you experience it. However, we can explore what may work best for you collaboratively and I draw on a range of techniques to suit your needs and help you explore your concerns.
I draw on multiple therapeutic approaches to suit your needs such as Existential, Gestalt, Phenomenological, Intersubjective and Trauma-informed.
I have worked with a range of concerns such as: Depression and anxiety, neurodivergence, eating disorders, relationship anxiety or distress, sexual abuse, trauma, personality disorders, addictions and body concerns.
I have experience working with gender and sexuality-related concerns. I am an LGBTQIA+ ally and am supportive and non-judgmental of any form of monogamous or non monogamous relationship you are in.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute, where I trained for 5 years. I have accreditation with the UKCP and full registration with the BACP. Prior to my psychotherapy training I did a Level 3 diploma in Counselling Skills.
I have been a teacher in secondary schools for 14 years and currently teach art in an SEN school. I have experience working with neurodivergent related concerns as a psychotherapist and as a teacher. I can use art based approaches with clients who are open to this.
I have experience working with the NHS in a psychiatric setting.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
![UKCP](/includes/counselling-directory.org.uk/images/logos/logo_5.png)
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
![BACP](/includes/counselling-directory.org.uk/images/logos/logo_2.png)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
