About me

I’m an integrative, trauma-informed therapist and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), offering a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever you’re facing.

You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck, or perhaps noticing patterns in your relationships or working life that you don’t fully understand. Therapy can help you make sense of these experiences, deepen self-awareness, and find a way forward that feels more manageable and meaningful.

I work in an integrative and relational way, drawing from a range of approaches—including person-centred, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed practice—to tailor therapy to you as an individual. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, grounded in the belief that lasting change happens when you feel safe, heard, and understood.

Alongside my clinical work, I bring a background in business, leadership, and mental health training. This is particularly valuable if you are navigating workplace stress, burnout, career transitions, or the pressures of leadership and responsibility.

I have a particular interest in working with Obsessive–Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, and trauma-related difficulties. I offer evidence-based approaches, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)—the gold-standard treatment for OCD—as well as structured Exposure Therapy for anxiety, phobias, and avoidance patterns.

Alongside this, I integrate elements of Gestalt, Humanistic, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches, supporting you to explore your internal world, understand protective patterns, and build greater emotional awareness and resilience.

As a trauma-informed practitioner, I prioritise safety, pacing, and choice within the therapeutic process. Whether you are experiencing intrusive thoughts, compulsions, panic, overwhelming emotions, or the impact of past trauma—including domestic or sexual abuse—I aim to provide a space where you feel respected, supported, and free from judgement.

ERP and exposure-based work is always tailored to your individual pace, helping you gradually face feared situations, reduce compulsions, and step out of cycles of anxiety. I integrate this with grounding and emotional regulation techniques to support a balanced and sustainable process of change.

I offer online, in-person, and telephone sessions to make therapy as accessible and flexible as possible. I work with clients aged 14 and over, both face-to-face in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland, and nationally online.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
