About me

I operate under the name Admiral Counselling. Drawing on my background as an ex-seafarer and military veteran, I offer a uniquely empathetic and understanding service, particularly tailored to support seafarers and veterans. My lived experience in these fields allows me to connect deeply with clients from similar backgrounds and provide guidance that is both practical and compassionate.

However, my services are not limited to these groups. I also work extensively with children and young people (CYP), providing support within schools and the wider community. In addition, I maintain a regular client base from the general public, ensuring that my counselling services are accessible to anyone seeking support.

My approach is grounded in real-world experience, inclusivity, and a commitment to helping individuals from all walks of life navigate their challenges and achieve personal growth.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified counsellor and a proud member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. With many years of experience in the field, I have provided counselling support to a diverse range of clients, including seafarers, veterans, children and young people (CYP), and members of the general public. My professional background also includes extensive experience in mental health support and independent advocacy, which has further enriched my ability to assist individuals facing various challenges. This combination of formal qualifications, professional memberships, and practical experience enables me to deliver compassionate, effective, and tailored counselling services to all those I work with.
