About me

You may find yourself stuck in the same patterns in relationships, work, self esteem, or the way you relate to yourself, despite trying hard to understand or change them.

Perhaps you overthink conversations, struggle with self doubt, anxiety, procrastination, people pleasing, emotional overwhelm, or a lingering sense of feeling different from the people around you. You might appear high functioning on the outside while internally feeling anxious, disconnected, or exhausted.

I work with adults and young people aged 18+ who want to understand not just what they are struggling with, but why these patterns keep repeating.

Psychodynamic therapy helps us explore the unconscious processes, early experiences, and relationship dynamics that shape how you experience yourself and others today. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect honestly, and begin making sense of the deeper patterns underneath your difficulties.

Many clients come to me after trying CBT or shorter term therapy and feeling that something still feels unresolved.

I have particular experience supporting neurodivergent clients, especially those with ADHD, as well as people who have often felt misunderstood, out of step with others, or as though they are constantly masking parts of themselves. I also work with people living with OCD, panic, anxiety, eating disorders, self sabotage, low self worth, and persistent critical inner thoughts.

Therapy with me is not about judgement or being told what to do. It is a confidential space where we can begin connecting the dots between past experiences and present struggles, helping you develop greater self understanding, clarity, and emotional freedom.

What to Expect:

Sessions are 50 minutes, once a week, in a calm and confidential environment. I won’t rush you or offer quick fixes; instead, we’ll notice patterns, explore feelings and thoughts, and make sense of what may have been overwhelming or confusing.

My role isn’t to tell you what to do, but to help you understand why you feel and react the way you do. We’ll explore unconscious patterns, past experiences, and the dynamics shaping your relationships, work, and sense of self.

I work inclusively with clients from all walks of life and aim to create a space where you can be fully yourself; a space for deep reflection, insight, and understanding.

Who Will Benefit:

Therapy may be especially helpful if you:

  • Feel stuck in repeating patterns in relationships, work, or self-esteem.
  • Live with ADHD, OCD, panic, anxiety or an eating disorder and want support that goes deeper than coping strategies.
  • Have tried short-term or solution-focused therapies but sense something unresolved underneath.
  • Often self-sabotage, procrastinate, or struggle with critical inner thoughts.
  • Feel “different” or misunderstood and want to explore your identity more fully.
  • Carry a sense of loss, frustration, or disconnection that you can’t quite explain.

Where We Can Meet:

I offer sessions in person from my therapy room in central Ipswich next to Christchurch Park, as well as online or over the phone.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
