About me

Most of us go through times in life when something doesn't feel right, or we have a sense of being stuck. At times like these, exploring our inner world with a qualified therapist can help us identify potentially unhelpful patterns and find freedom from these to live a more fulfilling life.

You might be struggling with anxiety or depression and have an idea of what is behind this, or you may have no idea. Either is okay, together we can explore.

My personal style is always empathetic yet authentic. I offer a non-judgmental and affirming space to support you as we explore what brings you to therapy. I pay particular attention to the unconscious and how things from our past might impact us now, and I won't shy away from a gentle challenge when it might help.

I work with individuals and with couples and multi-person relationships eg. mother and (adult) daughter. I have worked extensively with adults in their 20s and 30s and have a particular interest in anxiety and depression, trauma, and those navigating significant life changes. I also have specialist experience working with neurodivergent clients including ADHD and autism, and with the emotional complexities of fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and parenthood journeys.

I am UKCP-registered and trained to MSc level at the Metanoia Institute.

Finding the right therapist is key. I offer a free 10 to 15 minute phone call to explore whether we might be a good fit. To book an intro call an email with your availability is the best place to start.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Like all qualified psychotherapists, I can work with a wide range of issues, including serious mental health diagnoses. I also have a personal interest in working with:

Couples and relationship therapy I hold a Post-Qualifying Diploma in Relationship Therapy and work with romantic couples, non-traditional relationship structures, and non-romantic adult relationships such as siblings or parents and adult children. I support all parties equally, helping to slow the pace of conflict, understand the emotional patterns between you, and create space for everyone to feel genuinely heard. Whatever change looks like for you, that is what we work towards.

Anxiety and depression Most people I work with are experiencing anxiety or depression in some form. You may have a sense of what is behind it, or no idea at all. Either is okay. Together we can explore what is happening beneath the surface, working towards feeling less stuck and more like yourself, with greater  choice in how you respond day to day.

Trauma I work with people carrying the impact of past trauma, whether that is a single event or the slower, cumulative effects of difficult relationships or environments. I draw on trauma-informed and somatic approaches and pay close attention to how the past lives in the present.

Neurodiversity I have taken additional training and  extensive experience working with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism. I adapt the way I work to fit the way your mind works, including finding ways to reduce masking and overwhelm within the therapy space itself.

Fertility, pregnancy, parenthood These journeys can bring unexpected and often overwhelming emotional complexity. I have training and hands-on experience supporting people through fertility challenges, pregnancy and baby loss, postpartum struggles, and the transition into parenthood. I also work in a specialist organisation supporting people impacted by pregnancy illness.
