About me
I am an experienced Psychotherapist working near Ashby, covering the surrounding areas. I work with individuals (16 years and above) and couples.
There are a myriad of reasons as to why an individual wishes to access therapy. All are completely unique and important to that person. As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I am trained in a number of different modalities (Attachment Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), which enables me to work holistically with my clients, tailoring their therapeutic plan with them, and for them.
Issues and concerns we can work through together include:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Grief
- Lack of confidence
- Stress
- Addiction
- Body image and body dysmorphia
- Autism and ADHD
- Relationship difficulties
- Sexual concerns and fetishes
- Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault
- Trauma
Although I work with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, there are some areas of practice that particularly interest me and in which I continue to undertake additional professional development;
- Women’s mental health
- Body confidence and self-esteem
- Life transitions and identity
- Neurodiversity
- Anxiety and overwhelm
- Relationship difficulties
- Empowering individuals
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an experienced Psychotherapist and have a Masters in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (with Distinction) As part of that training I completed over 300 supervised clinical hours (this number has now been well surpassed post qualification!)
Now I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and have also trained to work with couples and groups.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I have always loved speaking with people and have a skill in building strong relationships where people feel able to talk to me about almost anything (great in therapy, less good on the train!).
I accessed personal therapy at the tail end of Covid and the safety, compassion and consideration I experienced there was life changing for me, and gave me the courage to act and bring about change in my life. I came out knowing that this was what I was supposed to do with my life.
I love empowering people with the gift of understanding and self-compassion. Seeing my clients make huge personal strides in self-acceptance, is one of the greatest privileges of my work.
My Therapy Space
In the early years of my career and as a client accessing therapy, I have been in various different types of setting for therapy. Some good, others less so and I learnt how important it is for a client's therapeutic journey for them to feel safe and relaxed in the environment where their therapy is taking place. I knew that should it ever be possible, I would love to be able to create a space that achieves this for my clients.
I was fortunate to be able to do this in 2026 and converted a humble 'shed' into a beautiful, tranquil counselling space. Surrounded by nature, my counselling cabin gives clients the peace and seclusion they need for their sessions. During warmer months the doors can be open if the client wishes to let in a pleasant breeze and the sounds of nearby animals. In Winter, the cabin is a warm little room of comfort with squirrels running past. It is honestly one of my favourite places to be and I hope that my clients like it as well.
