About me

I offer Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy -

As a fully qualified and accredited Integrative Therapist, I am here for you.

I believe therapy can help people live fulfilling and meaningful lives; to make sense of themselves and the world around them.

We are all unique, and as an Integrative Therapist, I draw on different approaches to work with my clients in an enriching and bespoke way.

We would work together in a compassionate and curious way to explore your emotions and experiences. We would work to seek understanding and empowerment, to cultivate healing.

I can help with:

  • Identity
  • Self image
  • Body image
  • Overwhelm
  • Acceptance
  • Feelings of 'stuckness'
  • Grief and loss
  • Anxiety
  • Low mood
  • Self-esteem
  • Relationships
  • Family issues
  • Attachment
  • Donor conception
  • Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversity (GSRD)
  • LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy
  • Eco therapy and nature connection
  • Neuro-affirming therapy
  • Creative therapy

I am dedicated to providing a safe, professional and supportive space to work together to navigate the challenges that come with being human.

I have over 15 years of experience working within welfare sectors in various settings; supporting mental health and well-being, financial hardships and those in education. I started my therapeutic training over 10 years ago and the journey to this point has offered a vast and enriching experience for personal and professional growth.

Within my therapeutic practice, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, with a wide age range and varying challenges. I have found it incredibly rewarding to support individuals in their journeys towards personal growth and healing.

My practice is located at Dartington Estate, where the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape encourages nature connection and offers a tranquil and inspiring backdrop for therapeutic work. My room is private, fully accessible for wheelchair users and is conveniently located by a public car park. I offer a variety of session times to accommodate different schedules and am open to concession rates, as I believe therapy should be accessible to all.

If you are seeking a compassionate and curious Therapist who is committed to your journey, I would be honoured to work with you. I welcome you as you are, without judgement.

I offer a free 15 minute consultation call via telephone or video to discuss your needs, answer any questions you have and consider if you would like to work together. Please do get in touch.

Testimonials -

"Working with Emily has been more productive than any other therapy experience I’ve had.”

"Where do I start? Today was my 8th monthly session with Emily and I honestly feel a completely different person. If you’d asked how I was, I’d have said ‘I’m good’ and left it at that. I thought therapy would be ‘useful’; it’s been 100x more. Emily has helped me uncover things I’d never have reached on my own, and for the first time in 20 years we described my head as calm. She took on a situation many therapists might have avoided and met it head on – with real understanding and warmth. I couldn’t recommend Emily more. I hope this captures even a fraction of what she’s done for me, and I’m genuinely looking forward to continuing the work together. She’s brilliant."

"Emily helps me explore the discomfort and untangle my wires."

"Emily understands who I am and gives a space for me."

"Working with Emily has not only provided me with the safest and most respectful therapeutic relationship I've ever had, but has also allowed me to take the lead in my own counselling with her person centred approach. During my time working with Emily I have made so much progress and truly do feel like I have met and continue to meet all my therapeutic goals."

"Having had 16 sessions with Emily, we've built a really good working relationship where I always feel comfortable bringing whatever I'm feeling to the table and in control of the direction of the sessions when I want to be."

"It really does feel like a safe space."

"I found my sessions with Emily extremely valuable. I always felt that my feelings were valid and has really helped my confidence and self esteem. I’m able to communicate my needs much more clearly and also feel that my toolkit is better equipped to manage the challenges that life throws at me. I am eternally grateful to Emily. "
