About me
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and change when provided with the right conditions. My role as your therapist is to walk alongside you on your journey, ensuring that whatever challenges you encounter, you are not facing them alone. I do not lead, direct or advise. In a confidential and non-judgemental space, I will support you in making sense of your experiences, moving towards a more fulfilling life.
I am a compassionate and skilled person-centred counsellor dedicated to providing a safe and empathetic environment for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and life experiences. I am good humoured, friendly and curious, with a positive energy and open mind. I adopt a down to earth approach, empowering you to find your own solutions and personal growth.
I am experienced with supporting clients from diverse backgrounds. I work collaboratively to address a range of issues including; anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, bereavement, low self-esteem, and personal transitions. My practice is informed by ongoing professional development, reflective practice, and a deep respect for each client’s autonomy and unique life story.

Training, qualifications & experience
Qualifications & Training:
- Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling (BACP-accredited training)
- Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
- Experience and training in trauma-informed practice, mindfulness, and diversity awareness.
- BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology and Counselling.
- Employed as Counsellor for NHS.
- Undertaking CPCAB Level 5 in Couples Counselling
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I have experience of working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I have also worked with individuals within the criminal justice system and provided emotional support to victims of crime and traumatic incidents. I currently work for the NHS part time as a Counsellor alongside my private practice.
I worked for several years as a mental health support worker for both NHS and the mental health charity Mind. I worked collaboratively with patients and service users from a multitude of backgrounds providing a variety of interventions from in reach visits for emotional support, to emergency interventions for those in mental health crisis.
