About me
I provide counselling for Adults and young people both in person and online. I work with a diverse client range on a wide range of issues taking a holistic approach offering both individual and relationship work. I work with individuals as well as relationships.
Counselling can be intimidating and I pride myself in being approachable and supportive whilst not being afraid to question and challenge when necessary. I am enhanced BDS checked and am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.
As a counsellor and psychotherapist I work with my clients and pride myself on taking time and really listening to their feelings and experiences without any assumption. My consultation process is free, not because it is not valuable, but because I believe that for counselling to be effective there needs to be trust between therapist and client. It is important for us both to establish that we are a good match for moving forward with our therapeutic relationship. Free consultations allow for us both to make this decision without any pressure to move forwards if it doesn’t feel right.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Level 5 Professional diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling practice
- Level 5 diploma in counselling skills and practice
- PostGrad certificate in psychology
I began my journey as a primary school teacher before becoming frustrated with the restrictions on my time making it impossible to give the young people and their families the support they needed. I retrained in psychology before focusing in on counselling and psychotherapy specifically. Until spring 2026, I was Lead practitioner for breathing therapeutic services counselling young people using animal and nature based therapies, whilst supervising the wider therapeutic team however, now I focus solely on private practice. I have also worked as a specialist in the area of domestic violence, working with individuals as well as groups.
