Hello, I’m Elinor Harvey, founder of The Relationship Therapy Practice.
I created my practice to offer a compassionate, inclusive space where individuals and couples can work through relationship and personal challenges with curiosity and support.
I offer online therapy and coaching for a wide range of issues - from communication difficulties, low desire, and relationship anxiety to rebuilding trust after infidelity or preparing for a stronger partnership through premarital counselling.
I also specialise in helping people navigate separation and divorce with emotional support and conflict resolution strategies. We can work alongside legal professionals to make the divorce process smoother and more emotionally supported.

- What happens after I contact you?
The first step is either a free 15 min chat, if you'd like to meet me first, or alternatively we can go ahead and book a full 50 min Initial Assessment Session. This first session is a chance to explore what you're looking for help with, to understand some of your situation and history and to set goals for working together. If I don't feel I am the right person to help, I'll try and link you in with someone more suitable.
- How much does it cost?
Individual Therapy starts from £75 and Couples Therapy sessions start from £100. We need to charge VAT on all sessions. All sessions are online via Zoom.
- How many sessions will I need?
That's hard to say! Sometimes clients just come for one or two sessions, and sometimes stay for a year or more. Everyone is different. On average, most of our couples work with us for around 8-12 sessions. If you have concerns about the number of sessions needed, or if you would only like short term counselling, please do let us know so we can work towards this with you.
- Can I come by myself?
Absolutely! I work with many clients looking for 1:1 support or where their partner doesn't want to attend.
- When is a good time to start couples therapy?
There's never a wrong time to seek help, but I would always encourage clients to come for couples therapy at an early stage, to iron out issues before they build up into bigger problems. Many clients find conflict difficult and tend to avoid painful conversations, which means that often honest communication is 'swept under the rug'. Coming for help early means we can look at what's not being talked about, and support you both to talk more honestly and openly with each other, before bigger issues build up.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
