About us
Looking for affordable therapy nearby in Edinburgh? Our therapy service offers open-ended therapy within the existential psychodynamic approach at a reduced cost fee (£135 per month, equivalent to £36 per session).
If you’re looking for long-term therapy in order to understand yourself better, improve your emotional regulation, or work through difficult relational patterns or ways of relating, our service may be a good fit for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
All our therapists are in their 2nd or 3rd year of their training in psychodynamic therapy. Psychodynamic therapy is a modern version of psychoanalysis based on the school of object relations.
It looks at the unconscious relational processes between us and finds links between what you're experiencing in the present and your early childhood and family experiences.
We also use the existential lens which considers the existential challenges of being human which relate to death, meaning, freedom, and isolation.

Additional information
Our service works through a psychodynamic framework where the same weekly slot is reserved for you as the client, and you’re asked to commit to your slot on a monthly basis. This means that a fixed monthly fee of £135 is due on your first session each month which covers the month ahead.
The fee accounts for 45 weeks of sessions within a 52-week year, which accounts for a maximum of 7 weeks that your therapist may take off. Your therapist will give you as much notice as possible for their planned time off.
Further cancellations and missed sessions aren’t reimbursed, including those due to last-minute sickness or bereavement.
