About me
You might look like you’re managing, even functioning through anxiety, stress, or burnout, but inside it can feel like constant pressure, overthinking, and exhaustion that doesn’t fully lift. You may find yourself at the edge of burnout, where everything feels like too much, yet you keep going.
Counselling with me offers a space to pause, slow things down, and gently reduce that sense of overload. I don’t apply rigid labels or one-size-fits-all models. Instead, I work together with you, adapting the process to you, including working in ways that are supportive if you are neurodivergent or experience the world more intensely.
My approach is grounded in both clinical training and an understanding of what it’s like to keep going when things feel heavy underneath. I pay attention to the patterns beneath burnout and anxiety, including masking, pressure, and the strain of trying to meet expectations that don’t quite fit.
Many people I work with arrive feeling depleted, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves, while also sensing a need for things to feel different. Our work together can support greater regulation, clearer boundaries, and a more sustainable way of being that feels aligned with who you are.
You don’t need to have the right words or a clear starting point. Many people begin unsure how to explain what’s going on. That’s enough. Reach out, and we can take a first step at a pace that feels manageable. I aim to reply within 1–2 days.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a degree in integrative and pluralistic counselling, which means my training covered a range of approaches, including humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioural methods. In practice, this allows me to adapt sessions to what feels useful for you, rather than following one fixed model.
Before starting private practice, I worked in community counselling services with adults facing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement, family issues or relationship difficulties. I’ve also supported people living with the effects of domestic abuse, neurodivergence, chronic illness, and the challenges of migration or cultural identity. These experiences taught me the importance of creating a space that’s flexible, respectful, and responsive to the realities of each person’s life.
I’m a registered member of the BACP and committed to ongoing professional development and regular supervision, so the support I offer remains grounded, safe, and up to date.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
