About me
I believe that everyone has a worth, to themselves, others, and the world around them. Keeping this in mind, I work in collaboration with you side by side, focusing on finding your own individual way of working through some of the distressing issues that impact on you living the healthy happy life you deserve.
I offer short six week or longer term therapy to help with feeling less alone, less hopeless, and less confused. Working towards a sense of individual achievement, whatever that means for you.
The therapy rooms I work in are comfortable and quiet with safe space to explore together. Free parking is directly outside and the two rooms are accessible to all. For non drivers a bus route is a short two minute walk away.
Training, qualifications & experience
I originally trained in Leeds qualifying after four years in the practice of Transactional Analysis. I continued with my ongoing development and hold a Diploma Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy and a UKATA award. I am now a fully qualified psychotherapist, CTA (P).
I see private clients for psychotherapy at my own private practice since 2014. I hold Level 3 certificate in Managing Diversity and Level 2 certificate in equality and diversity.
I volunteered as a counsellor for The Blue Door, North Lincolnshire rape crisis and sexual abuse, and Domestic Abuse Service for 7 years.
I volunteered as the Chair of Mind Scunthorpe and District 2015-18, I am qualified in Mental Health First Aid, Safetalk and ASSIST.
I am a member of UKATA and I have a current DBS check. I am also registered with ICO and have current professional liability insurance with Oxygen. I am a member of the BACP (00904764) and UKCP.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I offer an initial telephone assessment free of charge, this gives us chance to initially find out a brief understanding of why you are reaching out and bravely taking the first step and asking for help.
Individual session £65 for a 1 hour session.
Relationship sessions can be for a 1 and half hour.
