About me

Hello, I’m Daya.

I offer a warm and supportive space where you can speak freely, without judgement. Whether you’re looking for someone to talk to or you’re ready to explore deeper changes in your life, I work with you at your own pace, focusing on what’s most important to you.

If you’re feeling lost or disconnected, imagine a journey back to the parts of yourself that have been forgotten. Together, we can uncover the pieces of your identity that may have been hidden, and rediscover the essence of who you are today.

The path of self-discovery often involves peeling away layers of old beliefs, ancestral patterns, and past traumas. Along the way, we find the “buried gold” within you—those precious parts of yourself that may have been tucked away in order to fit in or avoid rejection.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues, including, Anxiety, Eating Disorders, Bereavement, Self-harm, Anger, Intergenerational trauma, Family issues, Boundaries, Sexual assault, Depression, Racism, Panic attacks.

In our work together, I approach each session with curiosity, empathy, and creativity, helping you reconnect with your unique story. My training in the Integrative and Transpersonal approach at Re-Vision enables me to tailor my methods to meet your individual needs. This might include a mix of talk therapy and creative techniques such as visualisations, drawing, play dough, family constellations, and the use of mythical stories - tools that allow for deeper exploration and expression.

I believe in a holistic approach that honours the connection between mind, body, heart, and soul. My goal is to support you on a transformative journey toward reclaiming your authentic self.

If this resonates with you, I’d like to support you as we take this journey together.

Training, qualifications & experience

Embarking on a journey of self-discovery involves shedding layers of hidden rules, ancestral patterns, and past traumas to uncover the “buried gold” within—those aspects of your true self that may have been suppressed in the pursuit of belonging or to avoid rejection. My personal journey as a mother has deepened my understanding of reconnecting with lost cultural roots, healing from past relationships, and embracing ancestral connections. It is through this lived experience that I offer support on your own path of self-discovery.

With a qualification in Transpersonal Integrative Therapy from Re-Vision, I bring a thoughtful and empathetic approach to my practice. I tailor my methods to meet your individual needs, drawing on a range of techniques that allow for a deeper exploration of your unique story. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you can express yourself freely and at your own pace.

Recognizing that talk therapy may not always be sufficient, I incorporate creative methods such as visualisations, drawing materials, play dough, family constellation stones, and mythical fairy tale stories to facilitate exploration and self-expression. Combined with my training, these tools enhance the depth and breadth of our work together.

I take a holistic approach that nurtures the mind, body, heart, and soul, supporting you in your transformative journey toward reclaiming your authentic self. Let’s begin this journey together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
