About me
Hello and welcome I am Dawn Henley an Accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor.
Are you seeking a safe and supportive space to explore your inner world and navigate life's challenges? As an accredited and experienced therapist, I offer a non-judgemental, confidential, and safe environment where you can truly be heard and understood. No concern is too big or too small – if it's impacting your well-being, it deserves attention and a welcoming space with me.
I believe that true safety in a therapeutic relationship is the foundation for positive change. When you feel secure and accepted, you can bring forward all aspects of yourself, allowing for deeper self-discovery and growth.
My areas of expertise include:
Intimate Partner Therapy/Couples Therapy: I utilise evidence-based models specifically designed to help couples navigate difficulties and strengthen their connection. I have training in several modalities including Intimate Partner Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Imago Relationship Therapy, and the Gottman Method.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Skills Practitioner: I can help you develop essential skills for managing emotions, improving relationships, and increasing mindfulness.
Individual Therapy: I work with adults on a wide range of issues, supporting you in building self-awareness and emotional resilience.
Family Therapy: I offer support to blended families and adult families navigating complex dynamics.
Psychosexual Therapy: I provide a safe and sensitive space to explore and address concerns related to sexuality and intimacy.
My therapeutic approach is person-centred and pluralistic, drawing upon evidence-based models to tailor therapy to your individual needs. I blend Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic principles, and relational depth work to create a collaborative and respectful process that honours your pace.
I understand that taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting. To help you feel comfortable and explore if we might be a good fit, I offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation, either in person or online. The therapeutic relationship is key to successful therapy, and this consultation allows you to experience this first-hand.
If you are looking for a dedicated and experienced therapist, I invite you to reach out. I work in person at my private clinic in Farnham and online so am able to work with no matter where you are based.
I look forward to hearing from you
