About me
You might be here because life has started to feel overwhelming. Perhaps you're carrying grief or loss, navigating a major life change, struggling in relationships, feeling anxious or emotionally exhausted, or simply finding that coping on your own has become too heavy.
Many of the people I work with have been holding things together for a long time. On the outside, they may appear to be coping, while inside they feel anxious, low in mood, disconnected from themselves, overwhelmed by their emotions, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel supportive. You may understand what's happening in your life, yet still find yourself reacting in ways that don't make sense or feeling unable to move forward.
I'm a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor based in Lewes, offering in-person counselling locally and online therapy across the UK and Europe. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, grief and loss, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, identity shifts and relationship difficulties, including expats and people living away from home or between cultures.
I primarily work in Lewes, East Sussex, where in-person sessions are based, with a small number of appointments in Hove available by arrangement.
Many people I work with have been holding things together for a long time. On the outside, they may appear to be coping, while inside they feel anxious, low in mood, exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel supportive.
In my work, I focus less on what's "wrong" and more on what makes sense. Many of the ways we think, feel or react today once helped us cope, protect ourselves, or get through difficult experiences, even if they now feel limiting. Therapy can be a space to understand these responses with kindness, rather than judging yourself or trying to push things away.
I offer a calm, steady and non-judgemental space where we can slow things down and gently explore what's happening beneath the surface. Together, we may notice thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations or emotional shifts that are often missed in everyday life, and begin to understand what they're responding to. This can help reduce self-blame, deepen self-understanding, and open up new ways of responding with more choice and clarity.
Some clients seek me out specifically for online therapy while living abroad or between cultures, where feelings of loss, disconnection, identity shifts or belonging can become more present.
My approach is collaborative and relational. I don’t see people as broken or needing to be fixed, but as doing the best they can with the emotional resources they’ve had available. Our work is shaped around you, your pace, and what feels most supportive at this point in your life.
I offer a free 30-minute introductory phone call if you’d like to ask questions, share a little about what’s bringing you to therapy, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed my Diploma in Integrative Counselling at Dunamis Therapy Hub, a BACP-accredited training provider, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have undertaken further training in Bereavement, Transactional Analysis, Parts Work, Internal Family Systems, Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapeutic Practice, and Trauma Work.
Alongside my private practice, I work collaboratively with a network of local counsellors to provide low-cost counselling for people on reduced incomes. I also have extensive experience supporting adults and young people through grief and bereavement through my work with St Wilfrid’s Hospice in Eastbourne.
I have many years’ experience working in educational settings with young people and adults who are neurodivergent or experiencing social, emotional and mental health challenges. Across all of my roles, I have seen how a compassionate, consistent and genuine therapeutic relationship can support confidence, resilience and self-acceptance.
I believe we all thrive when we feel seen, understood and valued.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I believe that therapy is a space where the stories we hold about ourselves can be gently explored and, where needed, softened or reshaped. With care and curiosity, it becomes possible to relate to yourself in a different way and to feel more at ease within your own experience.
