About me
Therapy is a space for change and growth. You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward - perhaps experiencing low mood, anxiety, or a sense that your usual ways of coping no longer feel helpful.
You don’t have to go through this alone. If you’re ready to take that first step, or just curious about whether therapy with me might help, I’d love to hear from you.
As a counsellor, I offer to meet you right where you are - with compassion and curiosity - in your place of stuckness, and in your hope and readiness for something new!
How I Work:
I am Daniela, a qualified integrative Humanistic Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I offer a calm, accepting, and non-judgemental space where you can explore what matters to you most; at your pace and in your own way!
In our sessions we may:
- Explore what’s feeling most difficult right now
- Give space and validation to your thoughts, emotions, and experiences
- Notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck
- Understand how past experiences might still influence you today
- Build on your strengths and develop tools to support lasting change
- Map out a path and take steps toward a more authentic, hopeful future
Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to you. I draw from a range of approaches, including Person-Centred, Gestalt, Existential Therapy, and Transactional Analysis; offering flexibility and different tools depending on what you need.
Let’s Talk
Finding the right therapist can feel daunting but you don’t have to decide right away. I offer a free 30-minute phone call where we can talk about what’s going on for you, what you are hoping for, and whether working together feels right.
There’s no pressure to commit. Just an open space to start the conversation.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed my training and obtained my diploma in integrative counselling at Dunamis Therapy Hub, a BACP-accredited training provider. My Humanistic approach is grounded in the belief that every person is inherently worthy of connection, care, and acceptance.
Alongside my private practice, I work collaboratively with a dedicated network of local counsellors to offer low-cost counselling for individuals on reduced incomes. Another service close to my heart is St. Wilfrid's Hospice in Eastbourne, East Sussex - a remarkable organisation where I gained extensive experience in bereavement support working with both adults and young people.
I have many years of experience supporting young people and adults with neurodivergent, cognitive, social, emotional, and mental health challenges in educational settings. Over the years, I’ve come to deeply value the transformative power of a compassionate, consistent, and genuine therapeutic relationship in fostering confidence, resilience, and self-acceptance.
I deeply believe that we all thrive when we feel seen, understood, and valued!
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
