About me
Hi, I’m Conor,
I’m a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. But more importantly, I’m a person - just like you. I’ve experienced life’s joys, challenges, feeling stuck, confusing messiness, and everything in between - maybe not so different from what you’re facing now.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy because no two people are the same, so I integrate various psychological theories and therapeutic approaches to tailor our sessions to what we feel is truly helpful for you and your unique experiences. To me, therapy can be a space for anything between serious work and humour but it isn’t rocket science - it’s two people meeting, listening, sharing, and responding.
So, whether you would like to just check in with me as the neutral person who will accept you for who you are, without judgement or expectations, offload frustrations, untangle any confusing messiness, or work towards your personal goals then you are welcome to drop me a message.
If you want to, we can also explore the “deeper stuff:” past and present experiences or relationships that have shaped who you are now (including traumatic experience); re-author, own, and seek to turn difficult experiences into self-awareness, self-compassion, and a personal strengths; or form new perspectives and helpful behaviours.
Whatever you’re facing, however you’re feeling, you are welcome here. You don’t have to go through this alone. Change is possible. You’ve got one life, you deserve to be content or reach your goals. We can work through this together, but always in your interests.
I offer in-person sessions from my therapy room, Walking and Talking/Outdoor sessions in Swansea and South Wales, and online sessions from wherever you are. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, relational foundation; I welcome both adults and young people (16 Y.O.+).
Drop me a message - let's have a chat
However you are, we can take the first step together with a free, informal chat - no obligations or expectations attached. We can do this over the phone or online, where you can get to know me and see how we can work through things together. Feel free to drop me a message through this directory or you can visit my website to book a call-time directly.
My Approach
As mentioned above, no two people are the same so I draw from a range of psychological theories and evidence-based models, tailoring sessions to what we feel is most helpful and meaningful for you. Therapy with me is not about ticking boxes, it’s about working together to uncover what works best for you. We will do this together, through our therapeutic relationship that will be grounded in trust and honesty, and I will weave in the psychological theory and therapeutic exploration when we feel it is right and safe for you.
Some of the main approaches that I integrate include:
- Humanistic / Person-Centred Therapy
- Relational-Psychodynamic Therapy
- Existential Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), including third-wave approaches:
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
- And aspects of Trauma Informed CBT (TF-CBT)
- Psychological education:
- I hold a masters in Psychology. When suitable, I weave in clinical knowledge that may give you insight into “why” you have your experiences. This is an evidence based approach that raises self-compassion and self-awareness that can be used to explore more helpful thinking, beliefs, and behaviours.
Fundamentally, I work relationally because I believe therapy isn’t something done to you, it’s something we do together. That means I bring my real, grounded self into our sessions (as much as is professionally appropriate). Clients often tell me they value my consistency, predictability and honesty. I believe that these relational conditions help build the foundational trust that allows for safe, genuine and helpful therapeutic work. Of course, I’ll draw on theory and tools to support you and, when you are ready, I’ll offer honest but compassionate challenges in an attempt to shift what’s no longer serving you, making room for new ways of thinking and living that align with who you are and what you want.
Together, we may sit with what hurts, make sense of the past and understand how it shapes your present, and work towards relief, clarity, self-compassion, self-awareness, and new strategies that help you along the way.
Thanks for sticking with me throughout the wall of text. BUT, if you have made it this far then it is possible that something in my waffling resonated with you. I encourage you to act on that and get in touch - it’s time for yourself, and bit-by-bit we can work through this together.
I offer a free chat for you to get to know me, understand what’s going on for you, and see if we can work things out. Feel free to drop me a message on this directory or you can book a chat directly through my website.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

A message from me to you
I know that by just being here and reading this that strong feelings might be surfacing. I understand that if you are used to helping yourself then exploring support may feel like a hit to your pride. I am aware that looking for a therapist and the prospect of starting therapy can be daunting.
I know this because over a decade ago I found myself in a similar position, maybe not too different to you now. I let pride get in the way by thinking that I should be able to fix things on my own. Eventually, I swallowed my pride and went to therapy and I experienced increased self-awareness, compassion-for-self and sustained positive change. So, I know how challenging this moment might be for you but I also know that relief and positive change is possible for you too.
But hear me when I say this, whatever is going on and however you feel right now, I know that by just being here, reading this, and considering therapy, you are being courageous. You may not believe that right now, but you are standing up in the face of your adversity and seeking something different. In my eyes, that is commendable. This is the start to making time for yourself; with the right support, things can get better.
