About me
I am a consultant art, play and verbal Psychotherapist and Safeguarding Lead. I have been in this role for 29 years. I work with adults, children, adolescents and families. I have worked for many NHS CAMH services and social services nationally. I also have extensive experience in working in psychiatry and in education. I currently work with many organisations and charities also who care for people affected by adoption and foster care. I run a very strong and successful freelance portfolio and work for a well known Harley Street clinic, for adoption charities, for specialist NHS autism services, for social services and with private referrals. This means that I have enormous experience in working with complex mental health/behavioural, eating disorders, depression, anxiety and trauma and am adept at treating co-morbidities/multiple diagnoses. I provide assessments of mental health and of therapeutic need, consultation and clinical supervision. I also devise and provide bespoke treatments where needed. Therapy can be verbal, art and/or play. The services that I offer include therapeutic parenting, sibling therapy, parent/child therapy, CBT, trauma process, psychotherapy and family therapy. I am fully insured and supervised and am a full member of BAAT and the PHA. I am state registered and regulated through the HCPC. Experience has shown me that my work is gentle, particular and effective.
