About me

From Me to You

Hello, my name is Chelsea and welcome. If you’re reading this, you may be feeling overwhelmed, confused, or simply unsure where to start. What I do know is that you are taking this first brave step towards healing and change, and you do not have to cope with it all on your own.

Perhaps life right now feels confusing or maybe something feels off and you are unsure how to change or understand this feeling. It could be that you are experiencing anxiety, low-mood, or you are feeling stuck. My role is to offer a safe space where you can slow down and explore what is happening in your inner world, without judgement, pressure, or expectation.

I work in a collaborative, compassionate way, and I bring a particular passion for supporting people who are neurodivergent, experiencing relationship difficulties, living with persistent anxiety and supporting men’s mental and emotional wellbeing.

I believe that counselling should feel like two people safely interacting within an accepting and trusting space where you can show up exactly as you are. As you are a unique individual with equally unique experiences, I am always genuinely interested and supportive throughout our journey together. My deep warmth and compassion can provide you with a process that feels relaxed yet effective in empowering you to make meaningful changes to achieve your full potential.

I work with all adults (16+), offering counselling that is inclusive, respectful, and supportive of people from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds,

How We Might Work Together

I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where we can navigate and make sense of your emotions and experiences at a pace that is comfortable for you.

My work is integrative, allowing me to draw from humanistic, relational, and trauma-informed modalities. This allows me to tailor therapy to you and your needs whether that means supporting you to understand emotional and relational patterns or building practical techniques to manage anxiety. As you are a unique individual with equally unique experiences, I believe in an approach that meets you where you truly are rather than fitting you into a one-size-fits-all framework.

Supporting Neurodivergent Clients

My work with neurodivergent clients involves a neurodiversity-affirming approach: viewing ADHD and autism as unique neurological profiles not as problems to be fixed. I am always respectful of your processing style and pace by working collaboratively with you to form sessions that work best for you. I can support your experiences with:

·       ADHD and/or autism (diagnosed or self-identified)

·       Difficulty regulating emotions or energy

·       Masking, burnout and sensory overload

·       Difficulty navigating work, relationships, or identity.

Together we can explore how your environment, nervous system and lived experiences interact. This may involve working towards reducing stress while increasing self-understanding.

Working with Relationships

I believe that relationships sit at the heart of our wellbeing. When they feel strained, confusing, or painful, it can impact every part of our life. Whether you are experiencing difficulties with romantic relationships, family relationships, friendships, abusive relationships, or the relational patterns formed in childhood that shape how you relate to others in the present, we can explore this together. I can support you with:

·       Communication difficulties

·       Conflict and emotional disconnection

·       Setting boundaries and expressing needs

·       Rebuilding trust or navigating change

·       People-pleasing, perfectionism, or fear of letting others down

·       Criticism and emotional neglect

·       Triggers

·       Repeating old relational patterns in present life

·       Inner child work

Working with Anxiety

Anxiety can feel exhausting and isolating. Whether it is rooted in your past, your relationships or from traumatic experiences, we can explore the physical and emotional impact it is having in your life. I can support you with:

·       Generalised anxiety

·       Social anxiety

·       Overthinking

·       Panic and overwhelm

·       Perfectionism and people-pleasing

·       Physical symptoms and nervous system dysregulation

·       Procrastination

·       Understanding emotional patterns.

Together we can explore what causes your anxiety and develop mindful techniques to help you become more grounded and in control.

Working with Men’s Mental Wellbeing

My work involves supporting men who are struggling with the pressures, expectations, and challenges of everyday life. Many men learn early on to “get on with it” and keep their emotions to themselves. Overtime this can lead to stress, low-mood, and isolation. My role is to help you make sense of your experiences and emotions - not by supressing them but by understanding them. I can support you with:

·       Stress, burnout and pressure (work, family, relationships and expectations)

·       Depression and lack of motivation

·       Anxiety, overthinking and physical stress

·       Anger, irritability, and emotional regulation

·       Relationship difficulties

·       Low self-esteem

·       Trauma (past or present)

·       Identity and masculinity

·       Loneliness, isolation or loss of purpose

·       Domestic abuse

·       Life changes, career transitions, fatherhood, ageing

What You Can Expect

Clients who have had counselling with me have remarked on feeling ‘significantly more confident and able to make decisions for [themselves, making them feel they are] valuing [themselves] more as a person’. A client also stated that they ‘greatly enjoy our work on self-image, and challenging negative thoughts’. A client also recalled that our work together ‘has remained consistent throughout and it is one of the main reasons [they find me] great to work with.

Next Steps

If you’d like to explore working together, you’re welcome to contact me for a 15-minute consultation. This is a chance to ask questions, share what you’re hoping for, and get a good sense of whether we’d be a good fit.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
