About me

Hello, I'm Charlotte, I'm a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT), IPT UK accredited Interpersonal Psychotherapist (IPT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapist (EMDR) with EMDR UK membership, and a background in Mental Health Nursing. I have over 12 years of experience providing psychological support to people experiencing anxiety, stress, depression and trauma. I have additional training in neuro-diverse affirming adaptations to therapy for clients who identify as ADHD, AuDHD or ASC.

Training, qualifications & experience

My training in CBT, EMDR and IPT has led me to develop an integrative approach to therapy. This starts with building a trusting relationship that is based on respect, kindness and safety.

I offer neurodiverse affirming CBT, IPT and EMDR for clients who identify as ADHD, AuDHD or ASC. I have supported people to overcome issues with executive functioning, relationship and communication issues, workplace stress, burn-out and overwhelm, traumatic memories, depression and anxiety.

I also offer specialist post-diagnostic support to adults who have received a later in life diagnosis of ADHD, AuDHD or Autism. Therapy is a safe and supportive space to explore feelings towards diagnosis, process any traumatic memories, whilst learning new tools, finding ways to care for yourself and reconnect with your authentic self, whilst making sense of your life-story from this new perspective. We can still work together if you are waiting for a formal diagnosis, or you are just starting to explore whether you identify as ADHD, AuDHD or ASC.

Reaching out to start therapy, can seem really daunting. This is why I offer all clients a Free 30 minute no obligation phone or video consultation. This will help us to see how being together in the therapeutic space feels, and will allow us to think about if we could work well together. Please email me so that we can arrange a free initial consultation.

Additional information

Having a good rapport with your therapist, feeling safe, connected and understood during sessions, contributes greatly to the overall success and experience of therapy.
