About me
You may be used to carrying a lot beneath the surface, even if it doesn't always show on the outside. It might show up in your relationships, or in a sense of feeling anxious, overwhelmed or really low and disconnected from yourself. You may also find yourself wrestling with shame, questioning your faith, or wondering how you lost touch with yourself along the way.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and begin finding a way forward. I offer sessions in Rochester (Medway), Faversham, online, and outdoors. The spaces are comfortable, private and dedicated to counselling and wellbeing.
WHO I WORK WITH:
FAITH-BASED, CHRISTIAN COUNSELLING UK:
I offer Christian counselling for those who want to include their faith and spirituality in therapy, whether that faith feels strong, uncertain, or something you are still working out. At the same time, I work with adults from all backgrounds, beliefs and cultures. You do not need to share my faith to work with me.
I understand deeply how being a person of faith can shape the way we see ourselves, our relationships and the world around us. My training integrated Christian theology with counselling practice, so if faith is important to you, we can incorporate it into our work as much or as little as you would like.
Together, we might explore:
- your relationship with God, yourself and others
- doubt, deconstruction and existential questions
- shame, control and the impact of spiritual abuse
- transitions in belief and identity
- the ways faith intersects with anxiety, relationships, sexuality, singleness, marriage, grief and everyday life.
Therapy can offer a different kind of space from church or pastoral relationships: somewhere confidential, reflective and free from expectations. I won’t tell you what to believe or offer spiritual advice. Instead, I’ll help you explore what your faith means to you and how you want it to shape your life moving forward.
RELATIONSHIPS, IDENTITY AND FEELING STUCK:
Many of my clients are thoughtful, caring people who are used to holding things together and being there for others. On the outside, they may seem capable and high-functioning, but internally they feel anxious, exhausted, or unsure of themselves.
You may recognise yourself in some of these experiences:
- You find yourself overthinking relationships, second-guessing yourself, or staying in dynamics that don’t feel healthy for you
- You tend to put others first and struggle to know where you end and others begin
- You experience strong self-criticism, perfectionism, or a constant sense that you’re not doing enough
- You feel burnt out from trying cope or keep up with expectations (your own or other people’s)
- You notice patterns in your relationships that repeat, even when you want things to change
- You feel emotionally stuck - anxious, low, irritable, or numb - without always knowing why
- You are navigating change, loss, or a life transition and feel unsure of where you are going
- You are struggling with compulsive sexual behaviours or pornography use and feel caught in cycles of shame and trying to stop
- You are in addiction recovery and want space to understand your story beyond just behaviour change
Relationships are often central to both the struggle and the healing. Therapy can help you make sense of your patterns, understand yourself more deeply, and begin to relate to yourself and others in a way that feels more grounded, honest, and manageable.
HOW I WORK:
I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you as you explore your experiences, discover new perspectives and make choices that align with your values.
Clients often describe appreciating my warmth and compassion alongside my willingness to gently challenge them when needed. I work collaboratively and at your pace, whether you’re looking for short-term support around a specific issue or longer-term therapy.
As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches to meet your individual needs. I enjoy working creatively through metaphor, imagery and reflective exercises, and I pay particular attention to the ways your relationships and past experiences may be influencing your present life.
CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE COUNSELLING:
I also offer culturally sensitive and culturally responsive counselling. As someone of mixed Chinese and English heritage, I understand how culture, ethnicity, family expectations and identity can shape the way we see ourselves and relate to others.
Many of my clients come from a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and I aim to offer a space where all parts of your identity are respected, understood and welcomed.
OUTDOOR WALK-AND-TALK THERAPY:
Alongside face-to-face and online sessions, I also offer outdoor therapy. For some people, walking side-by-side in nature can make difficult conversations feel more accessible, while providing space to breathe, reflect and gain perspective.
HOW TO GET IN TOUCH:
Contact me by email or phone for more details, or to schedule a free introductory chat. This is a chance to discuss whether counselling with me feels like the right fit for you.
I understand it can take courage to reach out, especially at the beginning. You are welcome to ask questions or take your time deciding.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Whatever you are facing, you can expect increased resilience and self-awareness as we focus on both your concerns and the story behind them. It can be hard work, but it will be worth it as we find ways to help you move forwards with confidence, freedom and purpose.
I take a very relational approach, focusing on building trust and exploring together what will work best for you. I draw from mainly psychodynamic and person-centred methods, combining various creative techniques and ideas from other modalities.
