About me
I am an Integrative Therapist who is passionate about the therapist/client collaboration and the journey to self-acceptance. I am driven by the belief that with the right support you will be able to find your own inner strength to make positive change in your life. Whether it is support in coping with anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, loss, or other themes impacting your daily life, it is my role as your therapist to welcome you unconditionally, into this therapeutic space so that you can freely be yourself emotionally and psychologically. My approach is warm and compassionate, and I will ensure you feel safely held. You may be carrying worries you have never shared with anyone else from fear of being a burden. I will be there to listen without judgement and be fully present in helping you find your way to a place of self-compassion. There is nothing gives me a greater sense of value and achievement than supporting people from surviving to thriving.
My approach
'The first step towards change is awareness, the second step is acceptance'. Nathaniel Branden.
I believe I am a compassionate Counsellor who comes from a place of warmth and empathy. I have many years experience working with adults and young people exploring how relationships are shaped from our childhood experiences and attachments. I mainly practice with talking therapy and incorporating breathing and grounding techniques to build more awareness of the connection between mind and body. Talking therapy alone may not always be what you require, and I therefore also work creatively using art, music, sand trays, clay and other creative resources, to build a bespoke experience to explore thoughts and emotions. Although this is very much led by you and what suits you best. I am passionate about the therapeutic relationship and working collaboratively with you, I believe is essential for positive change and growth.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
