About me
Counselling Profile
I am a compassionate and experienced integrative counsellor in my 50s, offering a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. Alongside my professional training, I bring valuable life experience, which helps me connect with clients in a genuine, grounded, and understanding way.
I offer both face-to-face counselling in Durham and online counselling across the UK, providing flexible support to suit your needs.
My practice is based at:
Durham Workspace, Abbey Road, Pity Me, Durham DH1 5JZ
I specialise in supporting individuals who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, and the impact of domestic abuse. I also work with children and young people, helping them to understand their emotions, build resilience, and feel heard in a supportive environment.
As an integrative, trauma-informed counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor our work to your individual needs. This may include elements of person-centred therapy, CBT techniques, and reflective, insight-based work, depending on what feels most helpful for you.
Clients often come to me when they feel:
Overwhelmed or anxious
Stuck in negative thought patterns
Affected by past trauma or abusive relationships
Lacking confidence or self-worth
In need of emotional support or clarity
Together, we can work towards:
Improving emotional wellbeing
Building self-confidence and self-awareness
Developing healthy coping strategies
Processing difficult experiences safely
Creating meaningful and lasting change
I offer a calm and supportive space where you can feel truly listened to and understood. Taking the first step can feel difficult, but you don’t have to face things alone.
