About me

At times, our struggles can seem overwhelming or too painful to bear. Other times, they may feel so minor that we doubt they'll be taken seriously. They might even feel strange or embarrassing. Whatever you're facing, I welcome you without judgment or expectation. Together, we’ll untangle the concerns you bring, with the hope that you’ll gain fresh insights into your sense of self. By exploring your current experiences, recognising patterns in your relationships, and understanding how your past shapes your present, we’ll work toward helping you navigate through the confusion and rediscover your self-love in your own unique way.

On a personal note, I grew up in Germany and, prior to training as a psychotherapist, I built a career as a sales leader in the hospitality industry across Germany, the UAE, and the UK. As an expat, I've learned to navigate the complexities of being an outsider while finding connection and community in unexpected places.

My expat background allows me to connect with clients who are facing transitions, whether they are navigating cross-cultural relationships, coping with the uncertainties of life, unconventionally living life or dealing with the impact of cultural expectations. I understand what it’s like to straddle multiple worlds and create a sense of home and identity amidst constant change.

Together we look at the stories you tell about your life, these stories that shape your identity, beliefs, and experiences. By exploring and reauthoring these narratives, you can gain insight, empowerment, and the ability to make meaningful changes in your life.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, aimed at fostering resilience and empowerment. I provide a supportive, understanding space where you can find your path to growth and healing, no matter where life takes you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have extensive experience working with a diverse and multi-ethnic range of clients. I have worked in the NHS where I provided therapy for women with histories of childhood sexual abuse and complex trauma. Additionally, I have been working in community crisis mental health services and working for a charity that supports parents who are facing child-related challenges.

I can help you overcome the problems you are facing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, loss and bereavement, workplace change and difficulties, emotional difficulties regulation and identity challenges, abuse, survivors of sexual abuse, mother and baby infant relationship, relationship breakdown and difficulties forming healthy relationships, sex-related issues, sexual identity, childless and women’s issues, cultural concerns, and more.

I work with adults, young people, couples, and families and can offer therapy in both English and German language. I have an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and hold BACP membership. I am also currently training as a systemic/family & couples psychotherapist, driven by my passion for supporting adolescents and their families in navigating complex relational dynamics and helping couples heal their relationship difficulties.

I offer talking therapies like CBT, trauma-focused therapies like psychodynamic, family therapy, couples counselling and other varied therapeutic tools to create a personalised approach for you that is based on what we agree together is the most beneficial for your unique situation and specific requirements.

My approach is flexible and tailored to suit your specific needs, whether you’re seeking short-term support or a longer-term journey. Feel free to reach out so we can discuss how we might work together on whatever you’re facing. I welcome you just as you are.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
