About me
I help high-functioning individuals and couples who appear to be thriving externally, but internally are struggling and feeling disconnected.
Individual therapy
On the outside, your life may look like it’s really working.
You’re capable. Responsible. Successful in many ways. The person others turn to. Yet underneath, something doesn’t feel right.
Perhaps you find yourself overthinking everything, struggling with self-worth, or maybe you feel emotionally disconnected, lonely in your relationship, or stuck repeating patterns you don’t understand… and wondering why lasting happiness always seems just out of reach.
If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone - I work with many clients who experience the same. Many of them are highly intelligent, curious and self-aware - they’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts and spent years trying to understand themselves. Yet despite all of this insight, they still feel stuck.
That’s because lasting change rarely comes from understanding our surface behaviours alone. Often, the real answers lie beneath them.
My role isn’t simply to help you manage symptoms, but together, we’ll explore the deeper emotional patterns, attachment needs, beliefs, fears and protective strategies that have developed over time. Clients often tell me they feel genuinely understood for the first time. My aim is to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel emotionally safe enough to explore the various parts of yourself and why you truly do the things you do, so that lasting change eventually becomes possible - whether that’s in yourself or in your relationship dynamics.
Every individual and couple arrives with a unique story, so I tailor therapy to your individual needs, experiences and identity, including culture, neurodiversity (ADHD and autism), sexuality, religion and spirituality.
Couples therapy
Relationships can become places where both people long to feel loved yet somehow keep missing one another.
Perhaps you’re caught in the same painful arguments. One of you pursues while the other withdraws. Trust has been damaged through infidelity or secrecy. Or emotional and physical intimacy have slowly faded, leaving you feeling more like housemates than partners.
Rather than focusing on who’s right or wrong, I help couples understand the emotional dance they’re caught in together.
When we understand what’s happening underneath the conflict, blame gives way to compassion, communication becomes easier and genuine reconnection becomes possible.
Together we’ll work towards rebuilding trust, strengthening emotional safety, improving communication and creating a relationship where both of you feel seen, valued in the relationship and securely connected to each other.
Training, qualifications & experience
I'm an integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor, meaning I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches rather than believing one model fits everyone.
I am BACP registered with a Level 5 Post-Graduate Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling.
My work is informed by attachment theory, emotions focused and cultural competent psychotherapy, neuropsychology and nervous system regulation, while remaining grounded in the human capacity for change.
Therapeutic approaches: Person-centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotions Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
I offer therapy worldwide and in person in Bromley, South East London.
If you’re wondering whether we could be the right fit, I’d be delighted to arrange a free 15mins introductory call.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Testimonials
"Bukola is kind and an amazing listener, she is able to draw out feelings and thoughts which I certainly wouldn't be able to recognise on my own. She is excellent at related individual moments to the bigger picture, therefore allowing me to better understand myself which is an incredible gift."
"Bukola brings a calm, gentle, and insightful presence to each session. She has a way of being both firm and compassionate, so I feel supported but also encouraged to look honestly at myself. She has helped me recognise the different sides of myself which has been great for my self-awareness and growth. I leave each session feeling thoughtful and proud. Having weekly sessions with Bukola means I’m reminded to prioritise myself, which has had a positive effect in other areas of my life. I would recommend Bukola to anyone looking for a therapist who is warm, grounded, and genuinely invested in helping you explore and manage your emotions with compassion and clarity."
"This was my first time doing therapy and I was very apprehensive about it. Bukola really made me feel comfortable and helped me process grief, and all the feelings that I’d buried alongside it. Feel much more in touch with my emotions now vs ever before"
