About me
Here are the main features of therapy with me -
You're in charge, you decide what to talk about and how you talk about it, your therapy is completely yours.
I will be with you at every step, empathising, accepting, and understanding as best I can.
This combination creates a very powerful and helpful environment which people use in different ways. Some find answers to problems, gain greater self awareness, resolve trauma, get clarity over issues, increased self worth, higher confidence, self acceptance, a place to vent etc.
The main way my therapy is different is that I don't give you advice or my opinion because I don't know what's best for you.
This is quite a technical explanation of my work which is hard to describe, if this sounds at all interesting I would recommend experiencing it and deciding for yourself whether it's for you and whether I'm a good fit.
Couples - My goal with couples therapy is to receive you both as individuals and as a couple, without taking sides.
Children - With young people I might use Play Therapy, creative tools, and offer information/ideas.
Currently I see adults, young children, teens, and couples in my home and online. I have worked in four schools with children aged 5-18, an NHS clinic taking GP referrals, and a low-cost therapy centre in a local community. This has given me a wide range of experience with people from various backgrounds and lifestyles. I focus on how it is for you, whatever the issue might be.
You have total flexibility of sessions, it can be weekly, fortnightly, occasional, and as many as you'd like.
