About me
However you find you're feeling as you land here, whether you feel like the anxiety you experience is out of control or if you just don't understand what you're going through, you're not broken and you don't need to be fixed.
I've been on both sides of the counselling relationship. From periods of my own struggles with anxiety and trauma to helping clients through theirs.
Retraining as a counsellor has been been the best decision I have made and experiencing the healing process take place for clients is a privilege.
It's important that you find the right therapist for you so I offer an initial 10-15 minute chat, at a gentle pace, to talk through your experiences, requirements and how we could work together.
What can I expect in our first session?
My counselling space is somewhere you can feel safe, heard & understood.
I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship - being able to trust, talk openly and be honest - is one of the most important parts of any healing process. Our initial session will be a process of laying the foundation of our therapeutic relationship through an honest conversation about what you want from counselling and how our sessions could help.
Working from spaces in Chorlton & Bramhall, along with online sessions via secure video link, my counselling space is somewhere you can feel safe, heard & understood.
I am an integrative counsellor, using a person centred framework along with a trauma informed, compassionate approach to help with anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), understanding trauma and the problems we may find in relationships with ourselves and others.
I provide weeknight and weekend sessions and have limited weekday availability.

I hold experience & training in the provision of counselling services to those suffering from anxiety related issues, the LGBTQ+ community, family estrangement and relationship issues.
Having worked in private practise and on a community based project with Housing providers in Greater Manchester I have gained significant experience in helping clients with issues stemming from trauma and anxiety.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
