About me

Hello there, my name is Andrea and I'm a fully qualified counsellor/ psychotherapist. I recognise that it can be daunting reachimg out when you are feeling overwhelmed, but im here to  support you to find  answers to your problems and achieve a sense of calm again. Some people find it too complicated or difficult to talk about their worries with those closest to tbem and that's where I can step in. I have experience in working with a wide range of issues from depression, stress and anxiety to  suicidal thoughts. I cover relationship issues, bereavement, work-related stress, trauma and abuse. I work with adults, couples, adolescents and children. I am able to see clients on a face-to-face basis or remotely by phone or the Teams platform.

As a person-centred counsellor, I am here to provide you with a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings and help you to make sense of them and find a resolution. I will listen without judgment and everything that you share with me will remain confidential. The only exception to this will be if I believe you or someone else is at imminent risk of serious harm. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I follow their ethical framework in order to give the best practice.I am fully insured so you can rest easy in the knowledge you are in safe hands.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
