About me

I am a therapist and I helps adults and young people overcome their anxiety, trauma, depression and stress, I also can help you to find a best version of yourself. Being human, it is only natural that we face life's numerous challenges. Painful emotions, such as fear, sadness, grief, frustration, anger and much more, respond to life's challenges and we have all been 'well-trained' to go for 'fixing' or 'controlling' these responses in the quickest way possible. Ironically, it is this urge to control such painful internal experiences, that often creates and in fact, exacerbates our struggles! I am here to help you gain new skills to manage difficult internal experiences more helpfully so you can start living your life more fully.

seeking out psychological therapy is a courageous and extremely important step towards greater self-awareness and self-care. I am looking forward to be able to help you learn effective ways to overcome your difficulties, whilst providing you with a safe and confidential therapeutic space.

My Asian background and living with dual cultures and life experiences helped me understand and see life from different perspectives. As well as my professional skills, knowledge & experience in the toolkit; in my view the most important thing about therapy is that we form and maintain an honest, safe and authentic client-therapist relationship. When this is established the real work begins - and change follows!

Training, qualifications & experience

I’m an MBACP-qualified CBT therapist. I have over four years of work experience. I speak Farsi, Parsi and English.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
