About me
People come to therapy carrying stories that may not yet have words.
There may be a feeling of overwhelm, of being stuck, of emotional weight, or a tiredness that lives in the body after a long time of holding things together. There may also be a sense that something within is calling out to be seen, understood, or cared for.
For some people, this may show up as anxiety, difficulties in relationships, low self-esteem, self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, or recurring patterns that feel difficult to understand or change. Others come to therapy with a feeling that something is not quite right, even if they cannot fully explain why.
You don’t need clarity, direction, or the “right” language to begin. We can start exactly where you are, listening together and allowing meaning to unfold in its own time, moving forward at a pace that feels kind and true to you.
My approach is psychodynamic, which means we pay attention not only to present difficulties but also to the emotional experiences, relationships, and unconscious processes that may be shaping how you feel and relate. Often, the struggles we experience in adulthood are connected to patterns that developed in response to earlier relationships and experiences.
Everyone is welcome. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can bring your experiences and be met with openness, curiosity, and respect. Whatever your ethnicity, race, class, sexual orientation, gender identity, neurodivergence, culture, religion, political views, physical health, or disability, there is space to explore what feels important to you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or diagnosis, I work with you as a whole person. Together, we create a space to explore thoughts, feelings, relationships, and your inner world with curiosity, compassion, and depth.
People I work with often experience:
- Anxiety and persistent worry
- Relationship difficulties
- Low self-esteem and self-criticism
- Emotional overwhelm or burnout
- Feelings of sadness, emptiness, or disconnection
- Life transitions and uncertainty
- Repeating emotional or relational patterns
- Difficulties rooted in earlier life experiences
Feeling safe and able to connect with your therapist is an important part of the work, supporting the possibility for meaningful and lasting change.
Therapy can become a space where all parts of you are welcome, including those that may feel difficult to understand or express.
