About me
I am an experienced and accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
I am fully qualified as a Psychotherapist, Cognitive Behaviour Therapist (CBT), EMDR practitioner and PICT (Parks Inner Child Therapy) therapist.
I am a compassionate and skilled practitioner with over 20 years of experience, including over 10 years as a Highly Specialist Therapist and Senior Supervisor with the NHS.
I provide a warm and safe environment for clients. I work in a sensitive manner and in a collaborative way with my clients, where we explore together how their difficulties may have developed, and identify ways to live life more fully.
I work with adults (18 years +) only.
My specialist areas are working with: Depression, Low mood, Low self-esteem, Negative self-image, Relationship issues, Stress, Trauma - including PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), Childhood and Developmental trauma - OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder), Health anxiety, Social anxiety, Panic, Agoraphobia and Specific phobias e.g. Emetophobia (fear of vomiting), Tokophobia (fear of giving birth), etc.
I regularly engage in learning and development to continuously improve my practice.
I have received consistent positive feedback from clients, including clients from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and from a neurodiverse population.
I offer all clients an initial consultation with no obligation to proceed any further. This is to give clients the opportunity to experience what it is like to be in a therapeutic relationship with me, and to identify their main difficulties, and discuss how I can support them.
I currently offer appointments on Mondays in the daytime.
I offer remote sessions only, via telephone or video (MS Teams).
