Supervision details
I am an experienced clinical supervisor - I have supervised counsellors, CBT therapists and integrative therapists for over 10 years in the NHS and in private practice.
I offer supervision to therapists in training and fully trained.
I have a warm and encouraging approach to clinical supervision. I understand the need for each individual to be acknowledged and supported in a way that will promote personal and professional development, as well as effective therapist/client work. In my supervision practice, I provide a collaborative and reflective space for the supervisee to develop their self-awareness and generate insight. I am mindful of unconscious dynamics such as transference and parallel processes that may be at play both in the supervisee/client work and in the supervisor/supervisee relationship. I also assist my supervisees in developing specific client formulations to help them provide optimal support to their clients.
My fees are £60 per supervision session (1hour).
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
