About me
I am a BACP-accredited Integrative Therapist specialising in relationship difficulties, recovery from domestic abuse, low self-esteem and childhood trauma. I work primarily from a psychodynamic and relational perspective, with a focus on helping you better understand yourself, your relationships and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
My aim is to offer a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore what is happening for you at a pace that feels right. You may come to therapy with a particular goal, or simply with a sense that something feels difficult, heavy or needs to change. We can work together to make sense of your experiences and help you feel less alone with them.
How I work
I believe that our past experiences and relationships can shape how we see ourselves and relate to others, often in ways we are not fully aware of. Therapy can help us notice these patterns, understand where they come from and consider whether they still serve us.
Where helpful, we may explore recurring relationship patterns, attachment, inner conflicts and the beliefs you hold about yourself and others. I bring compassion alongside open and honest reflection, helping you develop greater insight and understanding without judgement or blame.
I have trained in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) at the Anna Freud Centre in London. DIT is a focused, short-term psychodynamic therapy, typically offered over 16 sessions. It can be particularly helpful when emotional difficulties are connected to past or present relationships and recurring interpersonal patterns.
I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) through the EMDR Academy in York. EMDR can be helpful for experiences including PTSD, childhood trauma, domestic abuse and deeply held negative beliefs about yourself. It aims to help the brain process distressing experiences so that memories can feel less emotionally overwhelming and more integrated.
I have worked under NHS and Council contracts, in clinic and community settings, working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and identities, including those with neurodivergence, chronic illnesses, and clients who have social care involvement.
Working together
My approach is thoughtful, compassionate and collaborative. I won't tell you how you should feel or make decisions for you. Instead, we will work together to understand what is happening beneath the surface, build greater self-awareness and create space for change.
I believe that being able to explore difficult experiences openly with a trusted therapist can bring clarity, acceptance and a different way of relating to yourself and others. Therapy isn't always about becoming a different person; sometimes it is about understanding yourself more fully, letting go of what no longer serves you, and feeling more able to move forward.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
