About me
Counselling for Women Navigating Midlife
Relationships · Workplace Stress· Anxiety· Life Transitions · Menopause · Empty Nest
You can learn to feel more grounded, more confident in yourself and be better able to make choices that reflect who you are and what matters to you.
Perhaps you’re the person everyone relies on. You look like you’re coping but beneath the surface, you feel exhausted, overwhelmed and tired of putting everyone else's needs first.
You may be processing the end of a significant relationship or wondering how to improve the relationship you’re in.
You may have a demanding job, be caring for loved ones, meeting endless expectations and have reached a point where you're wondering:
What about me?
I understand those feelings because I've lived them too. When you’re juggling competing priorities and multiple roles it’s easy to lose connection with yourself.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. Recognising that something needs to change is enough.
Are you experiencing one or more of these:
- Anxiety: Feeling overwhelmed or worried about things you used to take in your stride.
- Burnout: Feeling physically and emotionally exhausted from holding yourself to impossibly high standards and expectations.
- Low self-worth: Feeling that you're not 'good enough' or listening to the critical voice that tells you that you should be ‘better’.
- Changing relationships: Feeling worn down by relationship difficulties or adjusting to changing family dynamics.
- Empty nest: Feeling the emotional impact of children leaving home, and wondering what this new chapter means for you.
- Grief and loss: Coming to terms with the loss of a relationship, a role, a version of yourself or a future you had imagined.
- Perimenopause or menopause: Navigating the physical, emotional and psychological changes alongside everything else life is asking of you.
- Identity questions: Wondering who you are now and what matters to you at this stage of your life.
Or perhaps you simply have a sense that something isn't quite right anymore, but you're not sure exactly what needs to change.
We can work together to understand what's beneath those feelings and explore what you need now.
How I work
I am an integrative therapist. I draw on different therapeutic approaches (psychodynamic, existential, gestalt and transactional analysis) and tailor my work to you as an individual.
Through our work together, you can learn to feel more grounded, more confident in yourself and be better able to make choices that reflect who you are and what matters to you.
I can offer you:
A safe, compassionate space
A place to explore your feelings and the challenges you're facing without judgement.
Deeper exploration
We can look beneath the surface to understand past experiences, patterns and ways of being that may no longer fit with who you are today.
A personal toolkit
Develop practical ways to recognise when you're becoming overwhelmed, understand your emotional and nervous-system responses, and find ways to feel calmer and more grounded in difficult moments.
Taking the first step
The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of our work, so it's important that you feel comfortable with me and that we feel like a good fit.
This is why I offer a free 20-minute consultation where you can talk about what has brought you to therapy, ask any questions you may have and get a sense of what it might be like to work together.
There is no pressure to make a decision during the consultation. You can take time afterwards to reflect on our conversation, how it felt to talk to me and whether you would like to take the next step.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
