About me

I am a qualified Humanistic Psychotherapist and Transactional Analysis (TA) therapist, with over 14 years of experience supporting children, young people, foster carers, families, and adults affected by trauma, attachment difficulties, and emotional challenges. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental therapeutic space where clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, and develop healthier relationships.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection. Drawing on Humanistic Psychotherapy, Transactional Analysis, and developmental theories, I help clients understand the patterns that influence their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships, enabling lasting personal growth and change.

Alongside individual therapy, I specialise in supporting foster carers, adoptive families, and professionals working with children who have experienced developmental and relational trauma. I am trained in PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy) therapeutic parenting and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), and I am currently completing the practicum to become a certified DDP supervisor. I also facilitate therapeutic support groups and reflective practice sessions, helping carers and professionals develop trauma-informed, relationship-based approaches.

Training, qualifications & experience

I work is informed by specialist training in developmental trauma and attachment. I am trained in PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy) and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) Levels 1 and 2, and I am currently completing the DDP practicum towards becoming a certified DDP supervisor. These approaches deepen my understanding of how trauma affects emotional development and relationships, allowing me to provide therapy that is sensitive, safe, and tailored to each person's unique experiences.

Alongside my therapeutic work with individuals, I facilitate therapeutic support groups and reflective practice for foster carers and professionals, helping them understand the impact of trauma and build stronger, more connected relationships with the children they care for.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am committed to maintaining high professional standards through ongoing training, supervision, and continuous professional development.

My aim is to offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you feel heard, understood, and supported to explore whatever has brought you to therapy. Together, we can work towards greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and meaningful, lasting change.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

I understand that starting therapy can feel like a significant step, and finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. My aim is to create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgemental space where you feel comfortable exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. I work collaboratively with each client, recognising that you are the expert on your own life, while I bring professional knowledge and experience to support you in making sense of your experiences and moving towards your goals.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues, including trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, attachment issues, shame, grief, stress, neurodiversity, and the impact of early life experiences. My practice is trauma-informed and tailored to your individual needs, drawing on Humanistic Psychotherapy and Transactional Analysis to help you better understand yourself and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

I offer both in-person and online sessions, providing flexibility to suit your circumstances. If you're unsure whether therapy is right for you, I welcome an initial conversation to discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have. Finding the right fit is important, and I want you to feel confident that you have chosen a therapist who feels right for you.
