Edward Silver BA (Hons), Registered MBACP, LINK Adoption Counsellor
I offer counselling & psychotherapy to Adults, Couples, Young People & Children with a wide range of difficulties; Anxiety, GAD, Abuse, Depression, Loss & Bereavement, Separation & Divorce, Affairs & Betrayal, Issues around Adoption, Infertility, Addiction(s), PTSD, Childhood Trauma, ADHD, Asperger's, Work place stress, Long Term Illness, Cancer and many other issues.
As a fully qualified and experienced integrative counsellor & I draw on my knowledge of psychodynamic talking therapy, attachment focused therapy, cbt, relational therapy, mindfulness and creative art and play techniques within my work with people of all ages.
Being able to talk to a non-judgemental counsellor in a safe confidential environment can be a very therapeutic experience, allowing difficulties to be unpacked, worked through and resolved.
Within my practice I believe strongly in the relationship that can be built between the therapist and client/s as being the most important ingredient in the therapeutic relationship.
If you decide that I am the right counsellor for you, we will work together with whatever you bring, with the understanding that we will not simply examine the problem/issue in isolation but as a part of your world, seeing it in the wider context of your life and history.
