About me

During the current pandemic I am only offering Skype, FaceTime, Duo or telephone counselling sessions instead of my usual face to face counselling at my counselling room.

I am a Senior Accredited counsellor with over eleven years experience of working with clients in GP surgeries, a long term counselling service, in a specialist trauma service and in my private practice in the centre of Beckenham.

I am an integrative counsellor which means that I combine different models of therapy in a managed way to provide counselling to meet the needs over a wide range of issues.

I believe in providing an environment in which you will feel comfortable to explore whatever is currently causing you distress. If you have any particular questions about the therapy I offer then please feel free to call me on my dedicated counselling mobile.

I have experience in working successfully with low self-esteem, anxiety in its various forms, including generalised anxiety disorder health anxiety and panic disorder. Whether you are feeling sad, suffering from depression, bereavement or having family issues or relationship problems; including divorce, separation or affairs, I have sucessfully worked in these areas.  I have also worked with workplace issues including work related stress, bullying and harrassment.

Lastly, I also have considerable experience of working with adult survivors of childood abuse, domestic abuse and sexual violence and have specialist additional training in these areas and have worked sucessfully with clients who have trauma (PTSD, Complex PTSD and Dissociative disorders) arising from this.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
