About me
I am a highly experienced, qualified, BACP Senior Accredited counsellor, with over 15 years experience and I believe that building a strong counselling relationship is key to providing you with an environment in which you will feel comfortable to explore whatever is currently causing you concern.
Whatever your reason for seeking counselling is important to me.
About half my work is in general counselling on issues such as low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, bereavement and relationship issues including divorce, separation and affairs. In addition, in workplace issues including work-related stress, bullying and harassment.
The other half is working with trauma on issues including childhood abuse in its various forms, domestic abuse and sexual violence. I have had considerable additional training in these areas. I have worked successfully with most trauma conditions e.g. post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) ,Complex PTSD (CPTSD) and many of the dissociative conditions up to and including DID. I have also worked with trauma-related conditions such as FND and dissociative seizures (NES).
I have worked for over 5 years both as a lead counsellor in GP surgeries, in a long term counselling service and for over 4 years at a specialist trauma service. I currently work in person with adults and those aged 17+.
If you have any particular questions about the therapy I offer then please feel free to contact me choosing a free introductory video or phone call via this site.
I am currently renting a room in the Beckenham chiropractor clinic as a base for my counselling work, where I moved to about a year ago following the redevelopment of my former premises. This allowed me to continue to offer counselling in Beckenham, where I have now worked for over 13 years in private practice.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
