About me

I am a Senior Accredited counsellor and supervisor with over 13 years experience of working with clients; in GP surgeries, a long term counselling service,  a specialist trauma service and currently in my private practice in the centre of Beckenham.

I am an integrative counsellor which means that I combine different models of therapy in a managed way to provide counselling to meet the needs over a wide range of issues.

I have considerable experience of working with adult survivors of childhood abuse, domestic abuse and sexual violence and have had considerable additional training in these areas and I have worked successfully with clients who have had trauma (PTSD,) 'Complex' PTSD and Dissociative disorders up to DID) arising from this.

I have experience of working successfully with low self-esteem, anxiety (including generalised anxiety disorder), health anxiety and panic disorder. Whether you are feeling sad, suffering from depression, bereavement or having family issues or relationship problems; including divorce, separation or affairs.  I have also worked with workplace issues including work related stress, bullying and harassment.

I believe in providing an environment in which you will feel comfortable to explore whatever is currently causing you distress. If you have any particular questions about the therapy I offer then please feel free to call me on my dedicated counselling mobile.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
