Angela Connoley MBACP (Accred)
I believe the counselling relationship is very special. It provides a space that's yours where you can explore and express your inner thoughts and feelings in confidence and safety. It's a place you can obtain a different perspective and increase your self awareness. By becoming more aware, you increase your choices, thus providing more opportunity to make change.
I understand and value highly the support that counselling provides, particularly at a time when it feels as though you are struggling alone with few options. Experience of my own journey is what brought me to train as a therapist. I continue to treasure the relationship as one that nurtures and promotes personal growth.
My aim is to work with you to tackle and resolve any emotional difficulties that you may have. It may be that you feel little sense of purpose or lack of direction. Perhaps there are relationship difficulties or maybe you have experienced past trauma that is currently impacting on your life. Whatever is troubling you, I can assure you that you will be listened to, heard and supported whilst on your journey.
I have a very comfortable therapy room based in Cheshunt, about 15 minutes walk from the train station.
I offer an assessment session to begin with which will enable us to get to know each other a little, for you to talk about what is troubling you and decide if we can work together.
I provide both short and longer term counselling.
