About me
Hello, I am a psychotherapist and counsellor who offers integrative psychotherapy in East Sussex, near Hastings, Rye and Battle as well as via Skype and Zoom. I offer a supportive, non judgemental space where we will be able to look together at your life, and help to make sense of the questions or issues which might have led you to counselling or therapy.
In working together, I would hope that we can find meaning hidden within the problems you face and use this meaning to facilitate positive change in your life.
I make use of creative work, visualisations, dream interpretation and the therapeutic relationship in my work with clients when appropriate and in line with your needs.
Having trained at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (at which I am a staff member), I am a registered member of the UKCP, A member of the BACP and have a post graduate diploma in transpersonal integrative psychotherapy and counselling. In addition to this I have a first class degree in psychology and a research MA in transpersonal psychotherapy, integrating concepts from Lacanian psychoanalysis. I am also a PHD student studying the interaction of psychotherapy and politics I am very interested in how we can be empowered and enriched by our differences rather than excluded because of them.
I have a wide range of experience having worked within a number of different counselling services.

I have been working for a number of years as a counsellor with the Addiction Support and Care Agency in Surbiton, dealing with addictions of all types but also a number of related mental health issues such as Depression, anxiety, reactions to trauma, sexual abuse, abusive relationships, diagnoses of personality disorders and schizophrenia.
I have also worked as a counsellor in Piccadilly with the Caravan Counselling service dealing with people from all walks of life and previously co-facilitated an arts therapy group in Horton Rehabilitation Services, which is a locked ward for primarily schizophrenia diagnosed patients. Before training as a psychotherapist I worked on the mental health support service SaneLine.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I work with individuals who are recovering from psychosis. I am interested in helping people integrate these experiences as much as possible back into society. I am currently researching the link between these experiences and spirituality.
I am interested in working with people from a mixed ethnic background, and the particular issues that this entails.
I work with individuals who use psychedelic or entheogenic substances and would like to integrate these experiences without feeling stigmatised or judged.
I am interested in working with people with criminal records who wish to reconcile with their past and move towards a productive and healthy future.

I charge £60 - £70 per session depending on the circumstances of the client
I have a limited number of concessions which can be arranged for clients who have difficulties paying the full fee and trainee psychotherapists and counsellors. Please contact me (preferably via email) if this is the case.
